C'mon Down!

Nick Hill played professional hockey many moons ago and worked part in the offseason selling televisions at John Kiernecki 's shop Manitoba Television Sales and Service.   Nick and John teamed and joined forces and expanded the line up to include home furnishings. Kern-Hill Furniture was established in 1952.  

 

  

The original store was on Derby Street and then is was relocated to 950 Main street in the late 1950s, then it moved to longtime home of 843 Main street the summer of 1963.  

John Kiernecki passed away at just 43 and Nick never considered changing the in the ensuing years. The business grew and family was heavily involved.  Nick passed away in 2003 and now the 3 sons (Andy, Nick Jr, Scott) are running the business with their amazing staff.  In 2006 the Hill's moved the business to its current location 660 Nairn Avenue.
